Purpose always precedes creation.
The need defines the purpose. The purpose dictates the specification. The specification guides the creation. The creation fulfills its purpose by meeting the need. Purpose therefore exists before something is created. It stands to reason then that a purpose cannot be chosen by a created thing, only discovered by its user through experimentation, reading of the operation manual or direct dialogue with its creator. This is equally applicable to both simple and complex creations, man made and God created. Where purpose is not understood, abuse is inevitable. A microwave oven can fulfill its purpose by cooking food or it can serve the purpose of a short person who needs something to stand on in order to reach a high shelf. If you do not pursue your purpose, you will be abused and used to fulfill someone else’s purpose.
What have you done so far to seek and discover your purpose? Is it adequate?
